SPRING HILL – The Pasco Chamber of Commerce and business community has achieved great success with their Business Development Series. Thank you to the Hernando Chamber and event sponsors for bringing a similar program to our community. Top event sponsors include Hernando County Office of Business Development, Hits 106, Spherion Staffing Services and PHSC. This is an ongoing event beginning March 25th and running through March 27th. Topics of discussion will include sales, customer service, social media marketing, branding and human resources.

The Kick Off Breakfast at 7:15, Silverthorn Country Club, will feature speaker Kathy George, Sperion Staffing. She will speak about “The Secrets of an Engaged Workforce.” Dr. Phil Yoho of PHSC follows at 9:00 with a free workshop.

A luncheon will be held at the Hernando County School Board at 11:30 am featuring Paula Mathews, HR Compliance 101. She will lecture on the “Basic Principles of a Respectful Workplace.”

The afternoon forum will be at the Chamber Office at 2:00 pm. Kathy George will speak again, this time about “Service Excellence: The Key to Customer Loyalty.” This is a free workshop.

On Thursday March 26th 8:00am, Jerry Karp, Small Business Development Center will give a free lecture entitled “Make More Sales” at the Chamber Office.

The luncheon topic is “Branding Your Business” starting at 11:30 am. The panel includes Jill Celeste, Personal Branding Coach; Ken Countess, The Countess Group; Vince Vanni, Vince Vanni & Associates. The luncheon will also be held at the Chamber Office.

Kristin Pelletier, Access Computer Training will give a free workshop entitled “Grow Your Business” at the H.C. Association of Realtors, 2:30 pm.

Jill Celeste will be giving a free workshop on “Social Media” at the same time and location.

Friday begins with a free workshop “Hiring Gems and Promoting Jewels” by Lori Bainum at 9:00 am PHSC Spring Hill Campus.

A free Panel Discussion will also take place on “Lessons of Leadership” featuring Dr. Amy Anderson, PHSC; Angie Bonfardino, United Way; Burt Harres, Consultant; Len Sossaman, Hernando County Administrator and Sonia Wellman, Oak Hill Hospital.

The Development Series wraps up with “Workforce Training and Education” by Dr. Donna Burdzinski, Provost, PHSC at 11:30 am at PHSC Spring Hill Campus. This is a buffet luncheon.
