We were invited to check out the Riverside Restaurant next to Roger’s Park on the Weeki Wachee River. They are under new management and reached out to us to come review them. This restaurant is not to be confused with the Riverside Restaurant in Nobleton near the Withlacoochee River.
The Riverside Restaurant’s bacon and sausage is turkey based rather than pork. They chose to go with turkey because they felt that was a healthier option. I prefer the turkey sausage over the turkey bacon.

We tried several of their dishes from both breakfast and lunch. The prices are above average for breakfast fare, but the location next to Roger’s park is excellent. You can get a great breakfast or lunch and enjoy the river or head out to the Gulf.
The American pancakes were covered with blueberries, strawberries, and whipped cream. It also came with a side of bacon or sausage. The kids scarfed this down pretty fast.
The biscuits and gravy were a hit. The biscuits were fluffy, but a little on the heavy side. The gravy was excellent and there was plenty of cut-up turkey sausage patties in the gravy.
The Reuben sandwich came with a side of potato salad or for a little more you could upgrade to onion rings. We tried one of each. The onion rings were excellent and we received a large portion We also ordered the egg combo which came with 2 eggs, your choice of grits or home fries, sausage or bacon and toast.
Riverside Restaurant is on Facebook.
