Feb. 23, 2017 0130 hours – Shannon Schenck, 44, swung two swords, terrorizing shoppers at the Brooksville Walmart parking lot located at 7305 Broad Street. Appearing to be under the influence or drugs and or alcohol, Schenck threatened shoppers getting out of their vehicles. The store manager called the Brooksville Police Department who responded to the scene. Schenck was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2 cts.), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana (less than 20 grams), Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon (3 cts.) Schenck is being held on $36,000 bond at Hernando County Jail.
