Since 1999 Amazon has used a patent on “one click buying” of products to sue other retailers. It expires in 2017, so you may be able to buy things more quickly online. The idea behind this patent is you allow a customer to buy a product as quickly as possible by using only a single click.
The only thing that is really unique about this patent is that it is on the Internet. Retailers have been trying to remove obstacles from customers’ purchases as long as there has been retail.
Just because something is on the Internet, it does not change the way the world works.

I hope you answered no to that. It happens everyday on the Internet. Random people call and tell you that they are from Microsoft and will fix your slow computer and people fall for it. They then charge hundreds of dollars to fix the computer and often leave behind viruses and ransomware.

You don’t want to find yourself in a dangerous area, but on the Internet people will go to unfamiliar sites without a second thought. They may even download software from these unfamiliar sites and install it.
When I am lost in an unfamiliar place, I usually stop and ask for directions at a store that looks reputable. On the Internet, if you see a site that you are unfamiliar with, you can check by running a google search on the site.
For instance, if you search in google for the old Hernando Today, google will warn you that “This site may be hacked.” That is a useful warning and in addition to the site result you are googling, you can look at the other results and see if others had an issue with that site.
