(Brooksville, FL) Hernando County Emergency Management announces that the local state of emergency has been extended for seven days. This decision was made by the executive policy group, comprised of county government leaders, due to the continual flooding that is impacting the residents living near the Withlacoochee River. This extension will also ensure that the emergency operations center and its partners remain in place to support the needs of the community.
