Fire Rescue arrived at the McDonalds located at 4166 Mariner Blvd in Spring Hill this afternoon at 2:22pm. They found a fire contained to a kitchen fryer and the situation was quickly mitigated. Two civilians were injured in the fire, with one being transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation. There was kitchen contamination due to the discharge of the fire extinguisher. The restaurant will be closed due to the extensive clean up needed. An electrical short in the kitchen fryer was found to cause the incident.
