Prior to my arrival, Deputy D Pannone and Deputy J Fletcher arrived on scene. I was advised by both deputies that Kara Lyn was sitting on the porch screaming at the top of her lungs. Both deputies further advised when they tried to make contact with her, she would have these outbursts where she screamed, at the top of her lungs.

Vickie further stated the defendant began to bang on her door and believed she was going to damage her door. Arrest Summary Excerpt: “On 11/9/2017, a consensual encounter was made with the defendant on Spring Hill Drive in front of 10470 Spring Hill Drive.
Upon speaking with the defendant, he consented to a pat down. Upon patting the exterior of his pants, I patted my hands against his shirt pocket and while doing so, the defendant immediately pulled away from me. I then asked the defendant why he pulled away from me and asked what was in his pocket. The defendant then answered, stating he had “meth” in his pocket. Arrest Summary Excerpt: “On 11/10/2017 while on patrol in the area of Sunshine Grove Road in Hernando County, Florida. I observed a black Dodge Neon four door, bearing Florida tag: HWUQ35, traveling with an inoperable rear license plate light, making the license plate obstructed, in violation of Florida State Statute 316.221(1).
I conducted a traffic stop on said vehicle at the intersection of Sunshine Grove Road and Montour Street.
Contact was made the driver/defendant, who identified himself as Robert Hamblin. While interviewing the defendant during the traffic stop, I observed, in plain view, an orange plastic straw along with two baggies containing a crystal like substance consistent with Methamphetamine, located in the driver side A/C vent closest to the driver’s door.
Due to said objects being consistent with illegal narcotics, I conducted a vehicle search. Said straw contained a crystal like residue which field tested positive for Methamphetamine, and the two baggies which contained a crystal like substance field tested positive for Methamphetamine. No other contraband was located in the vehicle during the time of the traffic stop.
Due to the contraband being in the defendant’s constructive possession, the defendant was arrested for the aforementioned charges and transported to the Hernando County Jail without incident, where he is being held on a three thousand dollar bond per the bond schedule. While at the jail, using scale model AB612N, serial number 8033491150, the crystal like substance had a combined weight of 0.5 grams. Arrest Summary Excerpt: “On November 10, 2017, while on proactive patrol in the area of Broad Street and Shady Rest Court, I observed a Gray Mazda 4 door, bearing Florida tag: IKKC62, in the right turning lane occupied with the vehicle emergency hazards activated.
I activated my overhead lights on my marked patrol vehicle and approached the vehicle, where I made contact with a white male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle on Broad Street and Shady Rest Court.
The driver then identified himself as Donald Gerken, defendant. The defendant advised he stopped in the turning lane to make a phone call. During this conversation, I detected a strong odor of Cannabis emitting from said vehicle.

Post Miranda, the defendant confessed that the cannabis and items in the vehicle belonged to him.

Arrest Summary Excerpt: “On a previous call for service at the residence approximately 45 minutes prior to the most recent call in reference to a verbal argument where both parties separated themselves prior to law enforcement leaving, I observed the defendant to be highly aggravated. The defendant was yelling at everyone, when he spoke the sentences that he spoke did not make any sense, and when I asked Shirley what drugs was he on, Shirley stated that the defendant was on “powder”. Shirley later explained that it was powder cocaine that she was referring to. I also observed the defendant to be very physically tense, as in his arm muscles were flexed and his facial muscles were frowning and his eyes were squinted.
On 11/11/2017, the defendant got into a verbal argument with his wife, Shirley Lawson, at their residence located at …Cornflower Road in Brooksville, Florida. Shirley then left their residence and was walking to the next door neighbor’s house located at 7331 Cornflower Road. While Shirley was walking between the two residences, the defendant left their residence with a machete in his right hand and approached Shirley from behind. When the defendant was about 10 feet behind Shirley, she heard him behind her and the defendant stated, “I will kill you b!#ch”. Shirley said that she feared for her life, ran as fast as she could to her neighbor’s house and called 911.
When I made contact with the defendant in reference to the aggravated assault on the front steps of his mobile home, he was sitting down with the machete in his hand. The handle of the machete was in his right hand with the end of the blade touching the steps. When the defendant refused to let go of the machete I deployed my agency issued taser with positive effects on the defendant and took him into custody.
The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Hernando County Jail without incident. The defendant was charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault, with a prior conviction of 6-16-83 for Aggravated Assault. The defendant was given no bond due to the domestic nature of the offense.”

Arrest Summary Excerpt: “On 11/11/2017, while on proactive patrol in the area of Cortez Boulevard in Hernando County, Florida, I observed a red Geo two door, bearing Georgia tag: RJL7054, traveling westbound on Cortez. I then observed the vehicle conduct an unsafe/improper lane change, pulling out in front of another vehicle traveling in the same direction, in violation of Florida State Statute 316.085(2).
I conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the intersection of Cortez Boulevard and Deltona Boulevard. Contact was made with the occupants of the vehicle. While interviewing the driver during the traffic stop, I observed in plain view multiple glass smoke pipes, with a burnt green leafy substance residue, consistent with drug paraphernalia located next to the rear driver side passenger (defendant), who identified herself as Sandy Green via Florida Identification Card.
The defendant advised the smoking pipes pertained to her and stated she uses them to smoke “spice”. The defendant consented to a search of her belongings, and during the search I discovered two white, round pills imprinted “A349” located inside of her wallet. A search of the pills via DRUGS.COM revealed the pills to be a schedule two narcotic: Oxycodone. Post Miranda the defendant advised the pills were hers and that they were “oxys”.
The defendant was not charged with paraphernalia, however, she was charged for being in possession of Oxycodone and was transported to the Hernando County Jail without incident, where she is being held on a two thousand dollar bond per the bond schedule. The defendant will have a mandatory court date of 12/12/2017 in Courtroom D at 0900 hours.”

Arrest Summary Excerpt: “On 11/11/2017 a traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Newhope Road and Everest Avenue on a yellow Nissan Xterra, due to the vehicle having a clear dark cover over its license plate, making it unreadable.
Contact was then made with the driver, who I immediately recognized as Danielle Ortiz from previous law enforcement encounters. The defendant immediately stated, “I’m sorry I know I shouldn’t be driving.” I then asked the defendant if she had a valid license, to which she stated, “No.”
A query of the defendant’s driving history through DAVID (Driver And Vehicle Information Database) did reveal her license to have been suspended on 08/07/2017 for failure to pay traffic fine.
The defendant was then taken into custody and transported to the Hernando County Jail. Prior to leaving the scene, the defendant was patted down, which did not reveal any narcotics or contraband. The defendant was asked if she had anything hidden on her, to which she stated, “No.” Once at the jail, the defendant was again asked if she had anything illegal on her, to which she again stated, “No.”
While the defendant was being changed out of her clothes, detention deputies did observe a clear glass smoking pipe fall from her waist line.
Contact was then again made with the defendant. Upon speaking with the defendant, she did admit to ownership of the glass pipe and stated that it was for “Meth”.
The glass pipe was then field tested using a NARCO test kit, which did reveal a positive presence of methamphetamine.
The defendant was then given a court date of 12/12/2017 and held on a $7,000 bond.”

Arrest Summary Excerpt: “On 11-12-2017 I observed an Oldsmobile van travelling east on Cortez Boulevard, which had a broken driver side taillight. Upon running the Florida tag, N728TB, a hit was received indicating that the vehicle was possibly stolen out of Zephyrhills. While teletype confirmed with Zephyrhills Police Department, I made contact with the driver, Olivia Clark (09/05/1991), and one other occupant, located in the front passenger seat, Albert Hart (11/12/2017). Olivia was advised about the broken taillight.
Upon teletype confirming the stolen vehicle’s status, the parties were separated. Olivia advised she has never driven the vehicle until 11-12-2017. Olivia stated that she saw the van at Albert’s address on 11-10-2017 and advised she did not know where it came from. On 11-12-2017, she was at Albert’s residence and wanted to retrieve items from her house. Albert provided Olivia the keys to the Oldsmobile van, at which point they drove to Hernando County. Olivia stated she did not know that the van was stolen. Olivia visits Albert in Dade City and still permanently resides at her address in Hernando County. Olivia provided a sworn written statement advising she did not know the van was stolen. It should be noted that Olivia did stop the vehicle almost immediately after I activated my overhead lights.
Albert stated initially that he had Olivia drive as he was intoxicated. Albert, post Miranda, instead kept inquiring how he was being charged with the grand theft auto, despite not being the driver. Albert advised that an individual only known as “Chuck” provided him with the van. Albert does not have a valid Florida driver’s license and it appears he believed that, if stopped, Olivia would have been charged as she was driving. Albert knew or should have known that the Oldsmobile van was stolen.”
