On March 16, 2017 around 3:16 p.m. two African-American males robbed Lily Jewelry located at 2135 Mariner Blvd in Spring Hill. According to media reports, the men were dressed in drag, held the store clerk at gunpoint, then fled in a white van. Lily Jewelry does not have a functional phone number and may now be out of business.
The FBI have identified and linked the men involved with a string of similar jewelry store robberies in which they wore makeup and dressed as women. Adrian Hardy, 33, Jerome Simmons, 29, Christopher Brinson, 32 and Emmory Moore, 33, are all from Broward County.
Other jewelry stores they are charged with robbing include Class Jewelers in the 3700 block of Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach on March 3; Bishop’s Jewelers in Valdosta, Ga., on April 1; and LSO Jewelry and Repair in Port St. Lucie on April 13.
On Nov. 9, the four men were indicted by a grand jury for all four jewelry store robberies and additional arrests may be pending. According to court records, a cell phone belonging to Emmory Moore was left at the scene of the Lily’s Jewelry Store robbery in Spring Hill. Cell phone records and locational data were able to link the suspects to the four robberies.
The federal trial will take place in January 2018 in West Palm Beach. The heaviest charges could give life sentences to the four suspects.
