The locally owned Buffet City is located in the Coastal Way Plaza on Cortez just northeast of Mariner Boulevard. They have a very large assortment of choices.
Although there is a huge variety of Chinese food and soups, they also offer sushi, American favorites like pizza and a hibachi grill. The buffet is all you can eat. There is a menu you can order from if you are not in the mood for all you can eat. They also offer to go foods priced by the pound.
Buffets are an excellent choice for large groups that would like to be served quickly. Often times it takes a large group several hours to be served at a restaurant as it takes a while for the kitchen to cook all the meals, but at a buffet the group can get their food as soon as they are seated. Buffet City has a huge dining area, so they can accommodate large groups.
Buffet City uses fresh ingredients for their dishes. We enjoyed trying new options from the buffet including the cashew chicken, fried rice, Beef and Broccoli. The hibachi grill was fun as the chef cooked our chosen ingredients while we watched. The soups were a hit with the kids, not to mention the large selection of desserts.
