The Hernando County Library System Writing Group presented its first Reading Day on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 at the Spring Hill Branch Library. Members of the group read their short stories, essays, poetry and some observations from around the world. There was also satire, biographical pieces and life experiences from people in the group. The group includes published authors of two children’s books, a science fiction book and a play.
“We were pleased to see so much support,” said Susanne Whelan who leads the Writing Group, a retired High School teacher who taught English for 32 years.
