The Friends of Fort Cooper announce the line–up and schedule of the five bands that will be playing at its sixth annual Music in the Park Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, April 21 at Fort Cooper State Park, 3100 S. Old Floral City Road in Inverness. Gates open at 9:00 a.m. (please take note of later ending time). Pasture Prime; Backwater Bluegrass; The Baileys; Still House Shakers; The Possums.

Food vendors include Jennie’s Kitchen, Bodez Tube Steaks & Such and Lynn’s Ice Cream. There will be a wide variety of menu items – from Philly Cheeseteak, Gyros, Burgers, Chicken Club, fresh cut fries, funnel cakes to “Chicago” hot dogs, brats, Polish and Italian sausages, with all the fixins’. Festival visitors will get your grub on. Advance tickets are now on sale in the Park office at $10 per person (At the gate on the day of the event $13). Children 12 years and under are free.

The festival will go on rain or shine. Visitors are asked to bring lawn chairs. No coolers or alcohol are allowed. Tin Roof Shack Productions direct this popular Festival on the shore of Lake Holithlakaha at Fort Cooper State Park.
