The fast-casual mexican chains have been experiencing explosive growth throughout the United States. The large chains in this market include Qdoba Mexican Grill, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill, Panchero’s Mexican Grill, Freebirds World Burrito, Baja Fresh. THey are some of the fastest growing franchises in the United States.

The trend is now reaching Hernando County. Moe’s Southwest Grill plans to open October 8th. It will be a few doors down from Dick’s Sporting Goods. Another fast casual Mexican restaurant just opened on US19 called Wraps Mexican Grille. In fast-casual Mexican restaurants, you pay before you receive your food, but the ingredients are fresher and higher quality than traditional fast food.

Moe’s Southwest Grill is known for their burritos and greeting customers with a loud shout of “Welcome to Moe’s”. Many of the Moe’s restaurants also offer a salsa bar where salsa can be added to enhance the meal or burn your tongue beyond tasting anything if you are so inclined.

The food is presented cafeteria style and you tell the servers which ingredients you would like to add to your food. Each meal is a custom creation.

Moe’s will be located at 12916 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville 34613. They are slated to open October 8th, 2015. You can check up on the status of the store at http://www.moes.com/. Click the “Find a Moe’s” link and search for Spring Hill, FL.

Unlike Moes, Wraps Mexican Grille is not a chain restaurant. They are owned and operated by a family who has lived in the area for 20 years. Also unlike other fast-casual mexican restaurants, they have a drive through component. They are located at: 1135 Commercial Way Spring Hill, FL 34606. Their website is http://www.wrapsmexicangrille.com/ or you can call them at (352) 684-7386 or visit their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/wrapsmexicangrille.
