Taylor Blacklidge, a Wider Horizons School student, has received early admission to Hofstra University Pre Med program in Hempstead, New York. Taylor has been a student at WHS since she was three years old, now at 16 she is headed off to college.

Hofstra University Pre Med program has awarded Taylor early admissions and a scholarship of $23,000 per year. For the four years she will be there, this will equal $92,000.

Taylor is an exceptional writer and an overall good student. Besides being an accomplished actress, she also sings, and plays the guitar. Taylor loves to shop. She also loves New York City and enjoys spending time there.

Taylor was in National Honor Society all through high school. She was editor of the school newsletter last year and this year she is serving as editor of the yearbook.

Taylor is interested in becoming a heart surgeon. Her inspiration to be a heart surgeon was her grandparents and their illnesses. Her grandfather had a weak heart. She spent time with them visiting doctors and became very interested in helping others.
