Bash, a 2 and a half year old red nose pitbull ran off in fear of fireworks in the Braewood Park area west of I-75, across from 98 Auto. Bash’s owner, Amy Parish, made flyers and posted information on social media in efforts to recover him. She also used a website called lostmydoggie.com.
Using the website’s service, Parish uploaded information about her dog along with a photo for free. For a cost, the service sent out messages to over 700 residences within the vicinity of where the dog disappeared. A woman called her after she received the message and told her that she found her dog and he was with her all weekend.
If you find a dog, you can also upload its profile to the database for free. Currently there are 14 dogs near Brooksville that have been found.
There are two packages to choose from, providing notification services. They use a descriptive voice recording to notify neighbors, shelters and veterinarians by phone, emphasizing that it is not a computer based recording. They will also provide a listing of who was contacted by the service.
