GARDEN GROVE – Ron’s Roadside Grille is one of those barbeque restaurants that perfectly looks the part. It is located just south of Spring Hill Drive on US 41. It is a small blue house with the two smokers set up outside. There is a large pile of cut firewood. The dining area is a small building and a few tables outside.
The food is prepared in a trailer located behind the dining area. The food is passed from the trailer to the dining area via a large window.
The place was very busy, but the waitresses were friendly and attentive. They have several specials every day in addition to their usual menu.
Ron’s is located a little north of Masaryktown in Garden Grove. People from Garden Grove are very definite that they are not in Masaryktown.
The half rack of ribs were fall off the bone tender and excellent. The ribs came with a side of brussel sprouts with garlic butter. The brussel sprouts were flavorful, melt in your mouth soft and buttery.
