Sidewalk on Quality Drive – Representative Blaise Ingoglia sent a letter to the BOCC referring to the 02/23/16 meeting in which citizens expressed safety concerns due to the lack of a sidewalk along Quality Drive in Spring Hill. The building of the sidewalk has been part of the upcoming improvement plan which is slated to begin in Fiscal Year (FY) 2018. Representative Ingoglia addressed the BOCC in person on that date and stated he would look into the matter of funding for the sidewalk construction so the project could begin sooner. The Department of Transportation (DOT) has advised that Hernando County could “do the work up front and be reimbursed by DOT”, but not until FY 2018 (which begins in 2017) by signing an agreement for Local Fund Reimbursement.
