I would like to start off by saying I am unaffiliated with Rocco’s Pizza Restaurant. I happen to have the same name as the pizza restaurant, but it is not named after me. It is named after the youngest son of the owners. Glad we got that out of the way.
Rocco’s Pizza Restaurant is located on US 19 next to Publix in the Lakewood Plaza. It is a cozy restaurant with a deli counter where you can view the slices, calzones and strombolis that are available.
Rocco’s Pizza makes a New York Style crust. It is crispy and thin. It is very popular with transplanted New Yorkers looking for a taste of home. I tried their personal 8″ super pizza. It was excellent and filling. They are a drive for me, but they are worth it.
For those of you that are gluten free, Rocco’s also carries a pizza with a gluten free crust. They carry traditional Italian baked dishes, pastas, and seafood.

CORRECTION: We initially stated that the restaurant was named after the owners nephew after speaking to an employee of the restaurant on the phone. The owner let us know that it was actually named after her youngest son.
