SPRINGHILL- Brooke Fasano is a 10th grade student at Springstead High School. She has been nominated by Dr. Robert Darling, the Medical Director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists to represent Springstead High School at The Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston, MA taking place June 25-27.
The Congress is an honors only program for high school students who wish to become physicians or enter the field of medical research. The program provides motivation, support and direction to help them reach their goal. During the three day event, students attend lectures by Nobel Laureates and National Medal of Science Winners. Deans of Ivy League and top medical schools advise the students on what to expect in medical school. Patients discuss their medical success stories.
“This is a crucial time in America when we need more doctors and medical scientists who are even better prepared for a future that is changing exponentially,” said Richard Rossi, Executive Director, National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists. “Focused, bright and determined students like Brooke Fasano are our future and she deserves all the mentoring and guidance we can give her.”
Fasano stated, “I have been working to my fullest potential to be able to become great someday and I know it will happen. I have a great support team at home with my Mom and Dad and I also have some of the best teachers in this country to see me through to my dreams of becoming a Pediatrician.”
