1. Mario Littman came forward to ask the Board if there has been a determination in Mr. Griffith’s investigation yet? Mr. Littman also spoke about Jason Chase, Supervisor of TIS that was non-reappointed. He asked what happened with yesterday’s weather decision. Why did the district make a decision at 2 PM in the afternoon and not sooner?
2. Shirley Miketinac came forward to discuss FSA/SAT 10 testing and references Manatee County Superintendent.
3. Pat Miketinac came forward to discuss high stakes testing. He stated teachers are better to evaluate students.
4. Tracey Hedges came forward to ask the Board for the approval of agenda item #1802 on the consent agenda.
5. Kimberly Mulrooney came forward to recognize Challenger K-8 regarding her son minimally participating. Mrs. Mulrooney said she had wonderful communication with CK8. She explained there is no time limit on the SAT 10. Her son did great on the un-timed test. Mrs. Mulrooney also spoke about the excitement for th Superintendent’s reading incentive.
6. Christine Mulvaney came forward to explain how the IEP process is hard. She shared how she had to learn to follow the system. Mrs. Mulvaney expressed her appreciation for Technical Education (CTE) classes.
7. Don Whiting came forward to question agenda item #1799 (#17 on the consent agenda).
8. Ramon Guttierez came forward to address his concerns of a public records request not being fulfilled. Mr. Guttierez believe we should put God back in school.
