Anita Korosec

Anita Korosec of Spring Hill celebrated her 104th birthday with family and friends on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Born Anita Catherine Wilson on March 29, 1914, Anita is a native of Jersey City, New Jersey. She lived on Staten Island, New York prior to moving to Florida in 1970 after a long career at Ebasco Services Corporation in NYC. She contributed to the war effort during World War II, working for Western Electric Corporation as a supervisor, which was rare for a woman in the 1940s.
Anita fell in love with Florida after numerous visits during her youth. She developed several hobbies over the years, including knotting, ceramic-making, playing the organ, dancing, playing bridge and enjoying family and friends. With a bright smile and witty sense of humor, “Aunt Nitta,” as she’s known by her family is always the center of activity and laughter. Anita contributes her longevity to her optimism and her ability to laugh at herself and surrounding herself with happy people.
Anita requested to celebrate her birthday with “over 100 balloons!”
