Whether you’re a football fan or not, the 51st Super Bowl is coming up so you should prepare. Our tradition for the Super Bowl Sunday menu is found mostly in the frozen food aisle of the grocery store.
Some of my favorite football foods are onion rings, nachos, jalapeno poppers, coconut shrimp, pigs in a blanket, hamburgers, chicken wings with blue cheese sauce, cheese sticks, potato salad, spring rolls, a rack of ribs and save some room for ice cream.
Also, you can get M&Ms for the color of your team! This is the one day in my house that I am allowed to eat total junk food. Personally, that is my favorite day of the year.
The bad thing about this day is that you most likely will be sick for days afterwards.
If you prefer not to face the aftermath of the Super Bowl Sunday football food described above, Sports Illustrated has put together an elaborate recipe guide for the big game. It covers dips, appetizers, desserts and even a main course. The recipe guide is located at: http://www.si.com/specials/super-bowl-recipe-guide/index.html
So if you’re not much of a football fan or if your team isn’t playing, it doesn’t matter the team you cheer for, all that matters is the food and maybe the commercials.
