Within the parking lot of Bamboo’s Bar & Eatery, 4564 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, two men were shot around 1:30am on March 11. One victim was mortally wounded and identified as 34 year old Leo David Yepiz. The other victim, Cesar P. Acosta, 26 of Spring Hill, was transported via Bayflite to a local trauma center and is in critical condition. The shooting was apparently the result of an altercation inside the bar.
The suspected shooter, Thomas M. Durkin, 25, of Brooksville also sustained injuries. He surrendered without incident to deputies at the St. Lucy’s Plaza and is cooperating with authorities. The shooting remains under investigation.
