Two adult males battered and assaulted, with a bb gun, an adult female at Pioneer Park on Friday, January 13.
According to the police report, the victim, Dominique D. told authorities that she was battered by the two suspects Ryan Treger and Brandon Mashburn. Dominique told the responding officer that she and Treger got into a verbal altercation that led to Treger striking her and pushing her; the police report also stated that she had markings on her face and body, as well as blood from her nose accurate to her statement.
Dominique told the officer that Mashburn pushed her down into a bike rack and punched her in the back of the head, according to the police affidavit. Treger and Mashburn came back with bb guns, both of which were lacking orange tips and painted black, and Treger yelled “You want some? Come to my house!” according to the police report.
Contact was made with multiple sources, including Erin M., who said in the police report that she was also threatened by Treger and Mashburn when they came back with the BB guns to threaten Domiique. Michalik also told the officer that Treger exited his vehicle and began punching Dominique in the back of the head after a verbal altercation.
Contact was made with Treger and Mashburn shortly after questioning the witnesses. The police report detailed that Treger said he never attacked Dominique, but she attacked Mashburn. He also denied the involvement of firearms. It should be noted that Treger had a minor abrasion on his forehead and neck. According to the police report, Mashburn told police that Dominique attacked him, but he had no visible marks. He also said he never hit her and instead “mushed” her face to get away from her. He first denied the use of the supposed firearms, but later confirmed that Treger and he went back with firearms, but that Treger was the only one who pointed the BB guns at the girls.
The police report said both Treger and Mashburn were arrested on January 13. Treger was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of battery with a bond of $3000 and a court date for 2/7/17. Mashburn was charged with one count of battery and held on a no bond status due to already being out on bond for an unrelated charge; his court date is 2/08/2017.
