43rd Annual Student Recognition Banquet is April 27
The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and its foundation, Chamber Education Training Association (CETA), will host the 43rd Annual Student Recognition Banquet at the Palace Grand in Spring Hill on Thursday, April 27th from 5:30pm-9pm.
This year’s Keynote speaker will be Lynn Mueller- Nissen, celebrated author and a 1984 graduate of Springstead High School. The Chamber recognizes 56 students from the following schools:
• Central High School
• Hernando High School
• Nature Coast Technical High School
• Springstead High School
• Weeki Wachee High School
• West Hernando Christian
• Hernando Christian
• Spring Hill Christian Academy This year we will be recognizing these top students for their achievements in the categories of:* Academics
* Community Service
* Entrepreneurial
* Leadership
* Career & Technical
* New Category- THE ARTS
Scholarships in each of these categories will also be awarded.

Yard Sale to benefit

GFWC Historic Brooksville Woman’s Club will be having a Yard Sale, April 29 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the club house, 131 South Main Street, Brooksville. Tables are available for non-food vendors at $10. There will be a lot of nice items to choose from. Proceeds from this sale will be used for historic building improvements. Toiletries Needed for Homeless People
The Unitarian Universalist Church in the Pines is collecting books for People Helping People and toiletries for homeless people.
The PHP book drive is to teach homeless people marketable skills so they can find—and keep—employment. ‘How to’ and text books on subjects such as cooking, culinary sciences, computer/office skills, sales, and gardening/landscaping are especially appreciated.
Homeless people need the same toiletry items as other people: tooth brushes, razors, combs, soap, lotions, shave creams etc.

Start your week with the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce’s Business To Business Networking. The group will meet every Monday morning, beginning at 7:00am to 9:30am. The group provides continental breakfast and networking opportunities.
