Chamber presents Untapped Craft Beer and Wine Festival
The inaugural Hernando UNTAPPED Craft Beer & Wine Festival presented by the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce will take place on Friday, Oct. 21 at the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport located at 15800 Flight Path Drive in Brooksville from 6pm-10pm. Hernando UNTAPPED will showcase some of Tampa Bay’s craft beer and wine makers including: Beer Pressure of the Nature Coast; Big Storm Brewing; Blue Bassett Brewery; Cigar City Brewing; Copp Brewery & Winery; Florida Ave Brewery; Inverness Brew Union;Keel & Curley WINERY; Marker 48; Nature Coast Brewing Nine State Brewery; Two Henry’s; Wild Rover Brewing and Mad Beach Brewing just to name a few. Attendees can sample beer & wine in an atmosphere filled with live music by the Greg Billings Band, unique food from local Food Truck vendors including Cajun In A Truck, Chef Images, Just Smokin BBQ, In Law Subs and the Bacon Boss as well as distinctive merchants & retailers from around the county. What better way to spend a Friday night in October than with groovy friends, hand-crafted flavors of beer, cutting-edge music, entertaining games and innovative foods! General Admission: $25 per person includes a tasting glass and unlimited samplings of beer, wine and entertainment. Food is not included in the ticket price, but will be available for purchase. Designated Driver: $10 per person, DD ticket holders will receive complimentary soda or water and entertainment. 2016 Business Boot Camp
The Greater Hernando Chamber of Commerce is hosting four consecutive weekly workshops for Chamber members who are looking to build a healthy business and maximize their membership. Beginning on September 29th, these workshops involve discussions on how to use the resources available both in the business community as well as online. Rotary Club of Spring Hill to host Golf Tourney
The Rotary Club of Spring Hill Central will host a Pars vs. Polio Golf Tournament on Sunday, Oct. 2, at Hernando Oaks Golf Course. The shotgun start will begin at 9:00 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a $75 entry fee per person. The format is a four-person scramble. Men will hit from white tee markers and ladies will hit from the red tee markers. A buffet lunch and awards will follow the tournament. Also included are numerous raffle drawings and a silent auction. This event is open to the public. All proceeds will benefit PolioPlus, a program established by Rotary International to eradicate polio throughout the globe. Eradicating polio will be a huge health victory. Academia Hernando will present its Fall 2016 Lecture Series from 10 a.m. to noon Fridays, through Nov. 4, at Pasco-Hernando State College’s Spring Hill Campus, 450 Beverly Court. Lectures include:

Little Red Schoolhouse Bookstore Closed September 26 – October 1
The Friends of the Library Little Red Schoolhouse Bookstore will be closed for the week of Monday, Sept. 26 through Saturday, October 1. The Bookstore is located at 1208 Kenlake Avenue, Spring Hill, FL 34606. Normal hours of operation will resume on Monday, October 3.
