Commissioner Champion took time to explain to the public during the BOCC meeting on Oct. 10, 2017 that the county is looking to sell 64 properties through tax deed sales. He stated that many of these properties are located in the Royal Highlands and Southern Hills developments and are being offered very cheaply (in the range of $1000). He explained that the county does not wish to hold property. The county recently hired the Higgenbotham Auctioneers firm to sell off property.

The tax deed sales will take place Oct. 18, 2017. You may search the properties for salae at: https://or.hernandoclerk.com/TaxSmart/
