Syrup Cake
Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 ¼ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup karo syrup (dark)
½ cup coffee
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
3 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp allspice
1 tsp ginger
½ tsp salt
bundt pan
you could also add can of your favorite fruit filling, this should make you 2 cakes.
Directions
Spray pam in your bundt pan
Cream your first 5 ingredients from list, once that is done then you could add the remaining ingredients.
Very important: Only fill pan 3/8 of the way, if not will overflow.
Be careful while doing this part. Within the 1 hour cooking time. Do this every 20 minutes, lay a towel on counter take pan out of oven. Hold pan about 3-5 inches off of counter and drop then put back into oven. Be careful it will sometimes splatter. Bake 1 hour or until done.
