On 05-25-16, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit raided the home of local gang member, Jonathan Huff, who lives at 11404 Pike Avenue in Spring Hill. Huff is a self-proclaimed member of the Folk Nation, and was rising to the level of “treasurer” in his gang, prior to being arrested on numerous drug charges. Huff, who is a convicted felon, is no stranger to interactions with deputy sheriffs. In 2013, Huff was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone. He was arrested again in 2014 for Trafficking in Hydromorphone.
At approximately 5:48 p.m., detectives responded to Huff’s residence to execute a search warrant. The search warrant was the result of several narcotics purchases conducted by undercover detectives with Huff, at his residence. Upon arrival, detectives located Huff in his front yard, attempting to sell narcotics to other individuals when he was placed into custody. Huff was found to be in possession of 120 pills of hydromorphone and nearly $700 in cash. A search of his bedroom revealed a baggie of methamphetamine, marijuana, scales, and syringes.
Vice detectives advised that Huff was selling pills and methamphetamine to approximately 50 customers a day. He was selling approximately 200 pills every day at a street value of approximately $7,000. Detectives also determined that Huff was associated with Paul Bodisch, whose house was raided by the Vice and Narcotics Unit on 04-21-16. Bodisch was charged with Trafficking in Hydromorphone, as well.
