HCA Health Services, which owns Oak Hill Hospital, presented a rezoning petition before the BOCC requesting a change from agricultural to Planned Development Project (General Commercial) and Planned Development Project (Office/Professional) on a 40.2 acre piece of property. This presentation followed the approved zoning changes for the adjoining property submitted by Christ Charity for Kids, Inc. and Father Hamm’s Care for Kids, LLC.

The HCA changes would take advantage of the four-lane connector road that will be constructed for the developments planned immediately to the west of the HCA property. Commercial development is anticipated along SR 50, with medical offices and possible additional parking along the west side of the hospital.

Prior to the BOCC approval Planning and Zoning voted 5-0 to approve the changes with performance conditions.
