Excerpt: “While conducting a search incident to arrest on unrelated charge the defendant, Anthony Stratychuck, was found to be in possession of a baggie containing multiple small white rock substances and a receipt that had two small white rock like substances wrapped up in it in his left cargo pocket, which weighed a total of 1.2 grams using OHAUS scale serial number 23392. A NARCO 7604 test came back positive for Cocaine.
The defendant was arrested and transported to the Hernando County Jail without further incident. He is being held on a $2,000 bond with a court date of 5/2/17 at 0900 hours in courtroom D.”

Excerpt: “On 04/06/2017, I observed a gray Ford F150, bearing Florida tag DV4170C, travelling southbound on Shayne Street, directly in front of me. The white female driver briefly stopped the vehicle in the roadway, adjacent to a blue sedan, and with their hands, exchanged what appeared to be clear baggies with the black male driver of the sedan. Still following the vehicle, the aforementioned tag on the pickup was confirmed to be expired. I conducted a traffic stop on the F.150 near the intersection of E. Jefferson Street and Jasmine Drive. The vehicle was noticeably shifting abruptly from one side of the roadway to the other for approximately thirty seconds while the driver appeared to be ducking low into the cabin before it finally came to rest.
Contact was made with the driver, later identified as Erin Melissa Smith. I immediately detected a strong odor of what I recognized from training and experience to be Marijuana. I asked Erin if there were any narcotics inside the vehicle. Erin stated there could possibly be an “ice pipe”. Erin confirmed she was referring to Methamphetamine when she stated “ice”. The glass pipe was located stuffed under the driver seat.
Deputy N. Coburn responded to the scene, at which time Erin advised she possessed several small baggies containing Marijuana inside her body cavity. Deputy Coburn assisted as Erin removed them. The substance inside the baggies field-tested positive for THC.
Erin was subsequently placed under arrest on the above charges and transported to the Hernando County Detention Center without further incident, where she is being held on a $3,000 bond.”

Excerpt: “On 04/06/2017, a lawful traffic stop was conducted on an orange Toyota bearing Florida tag YF13M. The vehicle came to a rest, in the north parking lot in Springstead High School located at 3300 Mariner Boulevard, within Hernando County.
Contact was made with the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, who was identified as Benjamin Shinn. The defendant consented to a search of his vehicle and consented to a search of his person.
The defendant was found to be in possession of 24 tablets of Hydromorphone (Dilaudid). The white triangular pills bore an imprint PD8. The markings on the pills were verified through www.drugs.com. This identified them as Hydromorphone 8 mg.
The defendant advised that he does not have a prescription for the Hydromorphone.
The defendant was taken into custody and he was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance., due to the Hydromorphone being a Controlled substance. The defendant was given a bond $5,000.00 and a court date of 05/02/2017.”

Excerpt: “On 4/7/17 I responded to Goodwill located at 4750 Commercial Way in reference to a retail theft. The Loss Prevention employee, Walter M., advised that he observed the defendant, Karen MacManus, fill her shopping cart with multiple miscellaneous women’s clothing and entered the dressing room. Walter advised that the defendant’s purse appeared to be empty at that time. Walter advised that the defendant then exited the dressing room with what appeared to be less merchandise in her shopping cart and her purse appeared to be “bulky” and full. Walter advised that the defendant then returned several items to the clothing racks and placed several empty hangers in the children’s section. It appeared at this time that the defendant concealed the stolen items in her purse. Walter advised that the defendant then passed all points of sale without the attempt to pay for the concealed clothing items in her purse. Walter then identified himself as Loss Prevention and asked if the defendant would respond to the Loss Prevention office with him. The total amount of merchandise stolen was $48.30 in U.S. currency.
Post Miranda warning, the defendant decided to invoke her rights and wished to not speak to me in reference to this investigation. After the defendant learned that she was going to be transported to the jail for this offense she then stated that she, “didn’t understand my rights and I thought I needed a lawyer”. It should be noted that I read her the Miranda Rights from my agency issued Miranda Rights card. I then asked the defendant if she understood her rights before I asked if she wanted to speak to me. The defendant at first advised that she understood, then re-canted her statement and advised that she didn’t understand her rights. The defendant then spontaneously stated, “he told me if I told you the truth I wouldn’t be going to jail! Okay, I took the clothes for my daughter for Easter.”
The defendant was then placed under arrest and transported to the Hernando County Jail without incident. The defendant is currently being held on a $500 bond status, per the bond schedule. The defendant was given a misdemeanor court date of 5/3/17 courtroom B, at 9:00AM.”

During the course of his employment, the defendant activated and/or added additional value to gift cards without paying for them. The defendant made nine separate transactions over a two month time frame. It should be noted that there were some dates that multiple transactions were made on the same date. The defendant then took the gift cards and made personal purchases with them at later times.
The dates and values of the gift cards activated are as follows: On 02/18/2017 in the amount of $5.00, On 03/10/2017 in the amount of $25.00, On 03/10/2017 in the amount of $25.00, On 03/10/2017 in the amount of $54.95, On 03/11/2017 in the amount of $25.00, On 03/18/2017 in the amount of $25.00, On 03/20/2017 in the amount of $10.00, On 03/22/2017 in the amount of $25.00, On 04/02/2017 in the amount of $54.95. The total fraud loss to Home Depot is $249.90.
On 04/08/2017, at approximately 1115 hours, contact was made with the defendant at Home Depot. During a consensual interview, the defendant admitted to committing the fraudulent transactions and using the gift cards.
The defendant was then placed under arrest for Organized Fraud and was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center without incident. The defendant is being held on a $2,000.00 bond.

Upon my arrival, I observed the defendant to be standing in the median on Commercial Way, just north of County Line Road. I observed the defendant to be holding a cardboard sign which read “Just trying 2 survive please help”. The defendant did admit he was asking for money because he was purchase a bus ticket in order to leave Hernando County. I advised the defendant that standing in the intersection of a state road and requesting money was a violation which the defendant he advised he knew due to being warned before.
At this time, I placed the defendant into custody and transported him to the Hernando County Detention Center without incident.

Excerpt: “On 04-09-2017 at 0808 hours I responded to in reference to a possible in progress attempted residential burglary. contacted law enforcement and stated there was a white male wearing a grey sweat shirt that was walking around home and was knocking on all of the doors and windows and felt that was in fear that this uninvited subject was going to force entry into the home. stated that this subject was in fear for kids…
On arrival I could see who was later identified as Robert Lawson standing in front of the door on the east side of the home. Robert was looking inside of the home and appeared that he was grabbing for the door. Due to his unknown intentions I had my handgun in the low ready position and ordered him to lie on the ground. Robert complied and he was placed into handcuffs. Robert had a small cut on the right side of his face. I asked Robert how he cut himself and he stated he must have been laying on glass. I then read him his Miranda warning from my agency card. Robert stated that he was just released from Springbrook Hospital and had consumed an unknown amount of methamphetamine. Robert stated that he was talking to an unknown female named “Kelly”. Robert stated that Kelly invited him on to the property and she just exited a pickup truck that was parked on the property. Robert stated Kelly was walking around the property so he decided to knock on the front door to look for her. Robert stated the homeowner answered the front door and told him Kelly was home and to go around back and come inside. Robert stated that he walked around to the side of the home and knocked on the door and then tried to open the door to come inside and talk to Kelly. Robert stated he then walked around to the back of the property and began to look around a shed because the said Kelly was there. Robert stated he then walked to the back of the home and again was looking inside of the home and tried to open both upstairs and down stairs doors so he could come inside and talk to Kelly. Robert again stated that Kelly was driving the truck that was parked in front and the at the door invited him to come around the back of the house and to come inside. Robert stated he did not want medical attention for the small scratch on his face.
I then made contact with the homeowner who was at home with… [homeowner] stated that was woken up by the door bell and knocking on the front door. stated did not see a car but did see a white male and it looked like he was trying to make his way into the home. stated has never seen this subject before and did not invite him on to the property. stated at no time did tell this subject to come inside or state that Kelly was on the property. stated this subject then began to look into windows and then knock on the other doors. again stated had a well-founded fear that this unknown subject with unknown intentions was trying to get inside of home. At this time then armed with a handgun and took retired to an upstairs bedroom and barricaded inside and contacted law enforcement.
I then made contact with… who demonstrated that knew the difference between a truth and a lie and stated that would tell me the truth. stated that woke up to the doorbell and got dressed. stated could hear knocking from the doors and was afraid that someone was going to break into the home. then armed with a knife to protect and from the subject who was trying to get into the home.
I then made contact with… who also stated was in fear that this subject was going to break into their home.
Based on the facts the subjects in the home had a well-founded fear that this subject was going to force entry to the home and due to the Robert’s admissions that he was trying to come inside of the home to talk to unknown subject, and the fact that he tried to open all of the doors of the home he was placed under arrest for attempted residential burglary. He was transported to the Jail where he was held on a $15,000.00 bond and issued a felony court date of 05-08-2017 at 0830 hours in Courtroom E.”

Excerpt: “On 04092017, at or about 1542 hours I responded to [a residence on] Ranch Road in reference to a residential burglary. Upon arrival I made contact with the homeowner, Edward T., who advised that he left his residence for approximately 20 minutes. When he returned, he observed a battery powered drill that he had lent to his neighbor, the defendant, Scott Williams, was now on the living room floor. Edward thought this was strange but went into his laundry room to do some wash. After approximately 3 minutes went by, he heard a voice he recognized as the defendant, say, “Ed you know I’m here?” Edward then went to his bedroom and found the defendant standing in the doorway with one of Edward’s cans of Miller High Life beers in his hand. Edward asked the defendant what he was doing in the house. Edward advised that the defendant seemed to be acting strangely and would not answer his question. After not getting a satisfactory answer, Edward escorted the defendant outside of the residence where the defendant dropped the unopened can of beer.
I then made contact with William L. William advised that he arrived at Edward’s residence shortly after Edward. William is employed by the same employer as Edward and the two were completing some work together. William stated that Edward was already inside the residence upon his arrival and that he heard Edward arguing with someone. He then observed Edward escorting a white male, later identified to him as the defendant, out of Edward’s home.
While conducting my investigation, the defendant approached the fence to Edward’s property, and advised that he wanted to speak with me. At first, the defendant advised that he wanted me to know that Edward had not pulled a gun on him during an incident earlier. I explained to the defendant that I needed to speak with him regarding that incident. I read the defendant his Miranda Warning via agency issued card. The defendant advised that he understood his rights and was willing to speak with me.
The defendant stated that he borrowed a drill from Edward earlier on today’s date. The defendant advised that he returned to Edward’s residence with the drill and knocked on the door. The defendant claimed that he heard Edward say to come into the residence, so the defendant entered said residence. He asked Edward if he could have some water and he heard Edward advise him that he could have a beer from the refrigerator. So the defendant got one from the refrigerator. The defendant then stated the next thing he knew, he was in the bedroom, standing in the corner. I asked the defendant to explain. He advised that he just “came to” and could not explain any further. The defendant then heard Edward in the other room and called out to him. The defendant explained that he has been awake for several days due to family problems. I asked the defendant if he were under the influence of any legal or illegal drugs and explained that if he was, he would not be in any trouble for this. He advised he was not. I then asked the defendant if anything had happened to him before like this. He advised no.
Due to the defendant not having identification, I verified his identity through D.A.V.I.D. Edward and William provided sworn written statements. Due to these statements, along with the defendant’s, the defendant was taken into custody and transported to the Hernando County Jail without incident.
The defendant was charged with burglary of a dwelling and given a court date of 05082017 at 0830 hours, courtroom E.”
