Current Chair, Sonny Vergara announced the candidates elected at the Thursay, Dec. 14 monthly public meeting.
The Chair asked for nominations from the floor for each office. Those with the majority of supporting votes were elected and will assume their roles Jan. 1, 2018. All officers are incumbents.
Chair, Emilio “Sonny” Vergara; Vice Chair, Paul Shaskan; Treasurer, Tina Jarvis; Secretary, open seat.
“I’ve enjoyed working with all the people on the Hernando County Fine Arts Council. They are dedicated and hardworking people, a pleasure to work with. I look forward to another good year,” said incumbent Emilio “Sonny” Vergara.
Vice Chair Paul Shaskan said he “is really pleased to be serving another term.”
Tina Jarvis said, “It’s an honor to once again serve as Treasurer. I look forward to 2018 being another successful year.”
The Hernando County Fine Arts Council Mission is to encourage, promote and support all the creative arts in Hernando County and provide a means to showcase the arts.
