“It’s all about the Bride.”
Saxon Manor Weddings and Events hosted a Tasting and Tour event Sunday in Brooksville for future brides to be.

Hernando County is a unique and picturesque place for couples seeking a wedding venue. Sunday was the perfect day to see what Saxon Manor Weddings and Events has to offer in their Wedding Packages.
“Just like any business, it’s growing and evolving and every year is getting better and better,” Mathew Sumlin said. Mathew is considered the right hand man around the venue, part-owner and manages the property.
There are two beautiful venues to choose from: The Garden Room and the Shabby Chic Barn.
The Garden Room is surrounded by all glass windows, which gives everyone this wonderful scenic view of the property. The Shabby Chic Barn is breathtaking. With a fun rustic essence and beautiful natural setting, it is truly a dream.
“The barn does not have air-conditioning, but in the fall and winter you can open all the doors,” Mathew said.
Another amenity the Stephens is adding to the Shabby Chic Barn is a log cabin style restroom and a secret garden.
This tour gave everyone an opportunity to see and taste what is included in the wedding package. The Garden room was filled with a buffet sampler from Catering by Greg, samples of the most beautifully decorated wedding cakes and cupcakes as well as photography and flower vendors.
Just off to the left of the Garden Room is the iconic Rogers Christmas House, which the Stephens renovated and reopened earlier this year.
What was once offices back in the day is now transforming into a Bridal Cottage, where the bride can prepare for the ceremony.

Dennis Graver has been helping the Stephens with renovations for almost three years. What he has done along with this wife is truly amazing.
“I have been here since day one, (renovating the Christmas houses),” Dennis Graver said. “It’s been pretty cool to work on this place because of the history of this place; we still have a long road…. Dorothea Stephens is definitely committed to bringing it back to what it was originally, which is cool. I can appreciate stuff like that.”
“The Christmas house is open…I am going to be bringing in a lot of fall and Christmas trees in there,” Dorothea Stephens said.
“I like to decorate that’s my favorite thing to do,” Dorothea’s decorating is truly a creative beauty, from decorating the trees with elegance and style to creating amazing artistic wreaths.
The Christmas house is open Wednesday thru Saturday 11am to 4pm.
