Jammin’ for the Kids
Kiwanis club of Weeki Wachee set stage for their first annual event, Jammin for the Kids, at the Lake House in Spring Hill Sunday afternoon.
“We have two events a year and we didn’t know what to do so one of the members suggested we have a Jam session.” Sophie Akers said. Sophie Akers is a member of the Kiwanis club of Weeki Wachee and helped put this event together.

The event had live music from Shadow Ridge, John Hindman & Mustang and Mafia, Tyler Creek Road and Rock Street as well as local vendors from crafts to food trucks.
“This is our first time… If it does well we are going to do it next year, and this will be one of signature events for the Kiwanis Club.” Akers said.
The admission was based on donations or school supplies for the kids in the county.
