A mobile home was struck by lightning this afternoon, June 17, in the High Point Subdivision at 12389 Conde Dr. A homeowner called in a fire at the residence. The fire was contained to the exterior wall of the mobile home and the breaker panel. There was approximately $5000 worth of damages. The homeowner was able to reduce the damage of the fire with a portable fire extinguisher before help arrived. They will be staying with family tonight.
