Across from the courthouse there is a red building that is home to the Little Lady Cafe. The Little Lady Cafe is located off of South Brooksville Avenue across the street from the old police station/fire station. Little Lady Cafe is an American traditional restaurant. The staff is very friendly and happily greet you when you walk in the door.
Established in 2014, the owners come from a restaurant family – their relative runs the Howie’s Family Restaurant in Bushnell.
It has a mid-sized dining room. When you first enter, there are a few tables in that room and if you turn right, there is another room with a larger number of tables.
We have visited the Little Lady Cafe for both breakfast and lunch. The portions are generously sized and very tasty.
For breakfast we ordered biscuits and gravy, pancakes and a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich.
To accompany the biscuits and gravy, we tried their sausage and mushroom gravy which was creamy, but not too thick. The biscuits were light, the pancakes were soft and fluffy and the sandwich had crisp bacon and an egg that was just perfect.
For lunch, we ordered a hamburger and a chicken salad. The hamburger came with mushrooms, bacon, all the fixings, and a side of fries. The portion size was quite generous. The chicken salad came with a large scoop of chicken salad and fresh mixed greens.
The Little Lady Cafe is a popular place with downtown locals. They make traditional American dishes and have large portions.
You can also catch The Little Lady Cafe at the Brooksville Farmers’ Market on Saturdays where they give out samples of their offerings.
