Mazes at JG Ranch
Corn Maze, well it’s really not corn, it’s called Sunn Hemp, which grows about 10 feet tall and fills three acres on the farm. It has some amazing flowers.
“They get these golden flowers they are so pretty, cut them and take them home and they will keep blooming, they are super pretty,” said Kaitlyn Casey who has been farming with JG Ranch for twelve years. She works the U-Pick section on the farm.
This family owned farm has 160 acres. Within those acres there are stalks swaying bursting and with corn. The corn will be ready for hand-picking next week. Currently blackberries are replacing what remains of picked strawberries and other vegetables from the season.
“For us, it’s just being outside, it’s everything for us,” said Kaitlyn’s mother and co-owner, Deborah Casey.
The farm also has two other mazes, a small sunflower maze for the kids as well as another shaded maze.
Corn Mazes are open Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
