The Hernando County School District held their regular board meeting on 01/24/17. Superintendent Lori Romano introduced Deputy Superintendent Gina Michalicka who provided the update. Gina started off by congratulating Tiffany Howland for being the 2017 Hernando County Teacher of the Year. Tiffany teaches 8th grade at D.S. Parrott Middle School.
The District and School Improvement Team continues to provide support to the county. January 19th was a district walkthrough at Spring Hill Elementary and JD Floyd Elementary. January 20th was a district walkthrough at Hernando High and Moton Elementary. During walkthroughs, the team looked for patterns and trends as well as discussed next steps.
