Doug LeFebvre lived in Weeki Wachee, and was formerly from Vermont. A beloved friend, musician, tree climber and co-owner of Hernando Star Magazine, Doug passed away March 10th from an accident at work.
Doug was the kind of guy that added joy everywhere he went, always joking around. He had a hard work ethic and could be found working and singing, while others were taking breaks. He was 56 at the time of his death but could outwork all the younger guys in tree work and even made it a competition. Even when he had a bad day, he could always make others feel good. He was in the Hernando Beach Marina and the Coastguard’s Cardboard Boat Race clowning around and entertaining every year. Doug is survived by his fiancé and best friend, Sande Metcalf, and his sister, JoAnn Rossi along with brothers Mark, Michael, Ralph, Jeffery, and Brian LeFebvre. He also helped to raise Ronnie Metcalf along with Rachel White and Vanessa Shahin. He leaves behind one granddaughter Madeline Marie White. He joins his son Josh who passed away 20 years ago at the age of 13 and they are now reunited in heaven.
Doug knew the Lord well and his life was a good example of love for others, and as it says in the book, THE SHACK, Doug was one who God was particularly fond of.
